In this article we will explain the design features, ease of use and how to adjust the hatch to suit your requirements.

Design Features

Constructed entirely of stainless steel and plastic making sure that even the most corrosive of materials is not going to corrode the hatch.

  • Hatch plate - Constructed with a 10mm thick poly plate with generous open-ended guides preventing material build up. Open-ended guides allow loose matter to push out the bottom of the guides as the hatch gets shut.
  • Weather resistant seal - Positioned across the top of the hatch opening. When the hatch is shut the weather resistant seal protects contents by diverting water away from the opening. Draining away from the edge of the side guides keeping the contents dry as reasonably possible. We get asked if its weatherproof, what we are saying is that it is as weather resistant it can be made.
  • Lockable – With matching holes on the clevis plate and arms allowing you use a padlock or cable tie to prevent the hatch opening during transport or to prevent theft.

Adjusting your Bin

Along the slide guides of the hatch assembly there are elongated holes to adjust the tension of the hatch. Tension can be adjusted by loosening the bolt off and pushing up against the hatch plate and do the bolts back up. This will make the hatch stiffer allowing you to leave the hatch open or partly open. Easily adjust the tension by loosening the bolts repositioning the slide guides and tightening the bolts.

Chute Feature

Our side discharge bins come with a 300mm chute to narrow the opening. Located inside the bin upon purchase. Simply designed to fill buckets or small openings like a seed cart or air seeder.

To Install – Simply clip one side at a time on the bolt at the bottom and snap in the other side. The chute should have plenty of movement and will fall about 45 deg.
