Rain Aid®
Rainwater Tank Valve

Product Code: RTRA

The RainAid® valve is designed to be connected to a mains water supply on a rainwater retention tank.

it is used to ensure that there is always water available in your rain tank, to protect pumps from running dry.

Normally the tank will be filled with rainwater. When a Rain Aid valve is installed, the float is set to hang at the minimum desired water level. The float on the valve is finely balanced to allow the valve to open when the water level reaches the bottom of the float, but will shut when the water level reaches the top of the valve.

Important Legal Notice:

Overflow discharge must be visible. If overflow is discharging when there is no rainfall, isolate water supply and call a plumber immediately. This discharge comes from your metered water supply. Water loss is NOT covered by the manufacturers warranty. The valve is a mechanical water shut-off device which requires periodic maintenance. Every 6 months, check that the valve functions correctly. Gently push the lever down. When the valve opens, release the lever. When the weight is submerged, the valve should close. If the valve fails to shut off completely, it may be necessary to clean, service or replace it.

We purchased a Jacky Bin - Mini Silo and could not be happier with the service, product and value for money. I could not recommend Orion Products highly enough. Special mention must be made to Simon who considered all our delivery needs.
