A clever and simple addition to your rain tank installation, the First Flush Diverter kit helps to keep your tank water free of debris and foreign matter.
By installing the diverter between the roof and your tank, the first bit of water that comes through your pipe system is caught in the ‘diversion chamber’; once the ball floats to the top of the diversion chamber it obstructs the inlet and ensures that the rest of the rainwater flows past the diverter and on to the tank. The water in the diversion chamber drains very slowly until the chamber is empty again.
The volume of water collected by the diverter is determined by the length of pipe used to create the diversion chamber.

Orion tackled the project willingly, and worked closely with Inghams in developing a pallet bin that would meet our required parameters. All bins are serial numbered with permanent graphics, for identification and tracking of contents. The bins were delivered in due time, and put into service during mid-2002. Nine years later, the original pallet bins are still in use on the same routine. In terms of standing up to the treatment they are given, and we would regard it as a high-demand environment, then the bins are 100%. After nine years they show wear and tear and damage from operator errors, but even so the bins are easy to clean and maintain to the required hygiene standards."
