Agfest 2021 - what a ripper!

The unusually glorious weather for this time of year set the scene at Quercus Park, with sunshine and blue skies creating the perfect festival atmosphere for attendees and 500+ exhibitors.

This four-day field event completely sold out in 2021, with numbers capped at 10,000 people per day due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, these restrictions could not stop Agfest doing what it does best - supporting local Tassie businesses! It was reported by organisers that despite less attendees, sales for exhibitors were still up around that of Agfest 2019 where over 63,000 people attended.

Orion’s site at Agfest was a hive of activity, with people buzzing to meet our team and see our products in action. We love Agfest first and foremost for the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life, and spend time truly getting to know our customers and their needs. We also love seeing people engaging with our products and enjoying the atmosphere of this awesome event!

From the Orion team, we want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who dropped by our site at Agfest this year; we had a great time, and we hope you did too!

Next year is Agfest’s 40th anniversary, and we’ve got a feeling it’ll be bigger and better than ever – see you there!

Fun facts about Agfest:

• The event is organised, funded, and run entirely by the passionate and hardworking volunteers from Rural Youth Tasmania.
• Rural Youth owns the farm at ‘Quercus Park’ which was purchased in 1986 to stage the Agfest event.
• Agfest contributes up to $40 million to the Tasmanian economy each year, with hundreds of businesses relying on the event’s trade and sales leads.
• Attendees walk an average of 5km each day at Agfest.
